About Faith For Soldiers

In 2006 SFC Terry Mason after doing two years on the drill sergeant trail was assigned to the Wounded Warrior Transition Unit. He told his wife, Tina, that the divorce rate for Wounded Soldiers was unacceptable. SFC Mason expressed to his wife that he would not stand by and watch his brothers and sisters in arms be injured in war, losing their arms, legs, and sanity and then come home and lose there family as well. Terry and Tina along with their daughters Kayla and Sydney, started with dinner. They invited families over for dinner and made them apart of the Mason family. They were able to help over 200 families stay together over a 3 year period.

In April 2009 the Mason family was sent to Fort Hood, where Terry was deployed to Iraq shortly after. On November 5, 2010 Terry called to make sure his family was unharmed after the horrible violence on Fort Hood. Once Tina had told Terry the hundreds of people affected by this tragedy on Fort Hood, Terry expressed to Tina it was time to help not just hundreds, but thousands. Faith For Soldiers was Born, named after their middle daughter Faith who had died shortly after birth in 1999, and extended their services to ALL ACTIVE DUTY TROOPS!
